Hello, friend! Hope you’ve had a good week.
I’m currently learning to how buy our first house. To get into the right mindset, I’ve decided to channel the spirit of a grizzled lighthouse keeper that has ‘seen things’ and ‘knows things only megalodon knows’ - to help mentally prepare for negotiating with real estate agents.
I figure that having an innate sense of the sea, can only help when battling for the title of a reasonably priced ‘2 bed, 2 bath’ unit in the city. I’ll keep you updated.

Quick Fire Wrap Up
Currently Reading: ‘Back to the Garden’ by Laurie R. King. Restoration work at the Gardener Estate unearths a grim relic: a human skull, hidden away for decades. Inspector Raquel Laing has her work cut out for her - could the skull discovered belong to a victim of the serial killer ‘The Highwayman’, whose case has just surged back into the public eye?
Currently Watching: ‘Sweetpea’ on Binge. When forgettable wallflower Rhiannon gets pushed over the edge and loses control one day, her life transforms as she develops a vengeful and liberating taste for murder.
Currently Learning: ‘How to Stop Procrastinating and Finally Take Action’ - Ali Abdaal. In this 16 minute YouTube vid, Ali talks about expressing and labelling your fears, starting when you’re not confident, and the ‘Batman effect’ - adopting a fearless and competent alter ego.
Wishes for the Week
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, friend.
Remember - if you hit a wall of overwhelm this week, remember that there may be other options.
Have you tried digging under the wall? Perhaps stop in at your local Bunnings and buy some rope and grappling hooks to help hurl you over the top?
If all else fails - pretend that you don’t even care about the wall, and then when it’s reevaluating its life (wall?) choices you can sneak around it. Win win win.
Stay cool, punks x
